This policy explains how Kindi uses cookies and similar technologies on its website, waitlist, Founding Family offer and payment journey. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Important
Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights may operate by default as cookieless tools. PostHog visitor analytics and Google Analytics 4 remain off unless you actively accept Analytics. Rejecting, closing or ignoring the cookie banner means that no optional visitor-analytics information is sent to PostHog or GA4. Limited server-side error reports may still be sent to PostHog for fault detection without using optional analytics cookies or browser storage.

1. Who we are
Kindi is operated by Kindi Learning Ltd (company number 15989372), a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is Suite 2, Unit 1b, Pope Iron Road, Worcester, Worcestershire, United Kingdom, WR1 3HB.

3. Our approach
- Strictly necessary technologies may operate automatically where they are needed to provide a service you request, protect the website, validate a private offer link, process a payment or remember your cookie choice.
- Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights may operate by default as cookieless tools. They do not set analytics cookies or use browser storage to recognise visitors.
- PostHog and Google Analytics 4 remain disabled unless you actively accept Analytics through our cookie banner. Rejecting, closing or ignoring the banner means those optional analytics tools are not activated. This will not stop you joining the waitlist, receiving the free checklist or purchasing the Founding Family offer.
- Accept and Reject are presented as equally accessible choices, and you can change your choice later using “Cookie settings” in the website footer.
- We do not currently use Meta Pixel, Google Ads tracking, advertising cookies, remarketing pixels or cross-site behavioural advertising technologies.
- We do not send names, email addresses, child information, form contents, payment details or Stripe identifiers to our analytics providers.
4. Categories of technology
4.1 Strictly necessary
These technologies support requested functions such as website security, form operation, validation of private offer links, checkout, fraud prevention and remembering your cookie preference. They are not controlled through the optional Analytics setting. Blocking them in your browser may prevent parts of the website or checkout from working correctly.
4.2 Analytics and performance
Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights provide cookieless aggregate traffic and performance information and may operate by default. PostHog and Google Analytics 4 help us understand consented journeys, traffic sources and interactions; they are activated only after Analytics consent.
4.3 Advertising and social media
Advertising and social-media tracking are not active. The banner therefore does not offer an active Marketing category at launch, and “Accept all” does not activate future advertising tools. Before any such technology is used, we will update this policy and the banner and obtain consent where required.
5. Technologies used in the Kindi journey
The table below is generated from the same live tracking inventory that controls which technologies operate on Kindi, so the current policy reflects the active configuration. Durations are maximum periods and may end sooner if you withdraw consent, change settings, clear browser data or use private browsing. When a policy version is replaced, its technology table is frozen and retained with that archived version at its permanent URL.
| Technology / provider | Category | Purpose and information used | Storage / identifier | Maximum duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cookie preference / Kindi | Strictly necessary | Remembers whether Analytics was accepted or rejected and prevents the banner repeatedly asking. | kindi_consent, a first-party cookie or browser-storage record containing the visitor's cookie choice. | 12 months, or sooner if the choice is changed or browser data is cleared. |
| Consent-record identifier / Kindi | Strictly necessary | Links the browser to Kindi’s server-side cookie-consent record so the website can remember and enforce whether Analytics was accepted or rejected. It is not used to measure the visitor’s journey or identify the person. | kindi_aid, a random first-party identifier created for both accepted and rejected choices. It is separate from PostHog and GA4 identifiers and is not linked to names, email addresses, child information, payment data or customer records. | 12 months, or sooner if browser data is cleared. Changing the choice updates the linked consent record; it does not turn kindi_aid into an analytics identifier. |
| Website, form and private-offer operation / Kindi and Vercel | Strictly necessary | Provides requested pages and forms, validates short-lived personal offer links, maintains security and prevents abuse. | Short-lived session, security or token information where technically required. The private offer token is not an analytics identifier. | Normally the browser session or the shorter operational/security period configured for the relevant function. |
| Cloudflare Turnstile / Cloudflare | Strictly necessary | Protects the waitlist form, contact form and checkout-entry form from automated abuse and fraudulent submissions. | Technical challenge and device signals. Cloudflare may use the local-storage item cf.turnstile.u inside its own challenge frame/domain. Kindi does not set cf.turnstile.u on the Kindi domain, and form contents are not provided to Cloudflare for analytics or advertising. | The challenge is short-lived. cf.turnstile.u has no fixed expiry and remains until browser storage is cleared, subject to Cloudflare's implementation. |
| Stripe Checkout / Stripe | Strictly necessary | Processes payments, protects checkout, authenticates activity and helps prevent fraud on Stripe-hosted pages. | Stripe-controlled cookies, local storage and device/security identifiers on hosted Checkout. | Set by Stripe: session and longer security/fraud periods. See Stripe’s Cookie Policy. |
| PostHog Cloud EU / PostHog | Analytics — consent required | Measures the consented waitlist-to-offer journey, page use, events, heatmaps and autocaptured interactions. Session replay is used only on approved Kindi launch pages. Recordings mask all form fields and exclude Stripe Checkout, confirmation, account, database and administration pages. After Analytics consent, purchase events may include a pseudonymous identifier, offer name, offer version, amount and currency, but not the customer’s name, email address, child information, payment-method details, customer or order references, or Stripe identifiers. | A random first-party pseudonymous identifier, commonly stored under a PostHog key such as ph_<project-token>_posthog. It is not linked to names, email addresses, child information, payment data or Stripe identifiers. Person profiles remain disabled. | Identifier: 90 days maximum. Individual session recordings: rolling 30 days. Other analytics events follow the PostHog account retention settings described in our Privacy Policy. |
| Google Analytics 4 / Google (measurement ID G-L4FRE1SFK2) | Analytics — consent required | Measures consented visits, pages, traffic sources and core waitlist and purchase events. A purchase event may include offer, amount, currency and a random analytics-only transaction reference if needed to avoid duplicate counting. No form contents, names, email addresses, child information, Kindi order reference, payment details or Stripe identifiers are sent. | _ga and _ga_L4FRE1SFK2 first-party cookies. Kindi does not use GA4 User-ID for this launch. | 13 months maximum. |
| Vercel Web Analytics / Vercel | Cookieless analytics — operates by default | Provides aggregate information about traffic and page use without setting analytics cookies or using browser storage to recognise a visitor. | No analytics cookie or browser-storage identifier. Vercel uses an anonymised request-derived visitor hash for short-term counting. | The visitor hash is discarded after 24 hours; account-level aggregate data follows the Vercel plan settings. |
| Vercel Speed Insights / Vercel | Cookieless performance — operates by default | Measures page speed and Core Web Vitals, including technical information such as route, browser, device type and country. | No Kindi analytics cookie or browser-storage identifier. Anonymous technical performance measurements may be sent regardless of the Analytics choice. | No persistent Kindi visitor identifier; provider/account retention applies to aggregated performance data. |
6. PostHog analytics, heatmaps and session replay
PostHog Cloud EU is used only after Analytics consent. It may use a random, pseudonymous first-party identifier to recognise the same consenting browser across the waitlist, Kindi-hosted Founding Family offer and purchase journey. The identifier must not contain or reveal a name, email address, child’s name or date of birth, payment information, Stripe identifier or another direct personal identifier, and it must not be linked to the corresponding named record in Neon, Stripe or Resend.
PostHog heatmaps and privacy-safe autocapture may record page and interaction events after consent. Autocapture is configured not to transmit form values, personal information, child information, sensitive text or identifying element attributes. Person profiles remain disabled. Sensitive URL parameters are redacted and IP addresses are discarded or not retained.
Session recording remains enabled after consent on approved Kindi launch pages. It is not limited to the first month after launch; instead, each individual recording is retained on a rolling basis for no longer than 30 days. All form fields and entered information are masked. Stripe Checkout, confirmation pages, account areas, database screens and administration pages are excluded. Console recording and network-body capture remain disabled, and surveys remain disabled at launch.
Where Analytics consent has been given, PostHog may receive a pseudonymous identifier and a purchase-completed event containing the offer name, offer version, amount and currency. It does not receive the customer’s name, email address, child information, payment-method details, customer or order references, or Stripe identifiers. Any short-lived server-side connection used to reconcile that event must be deleted after reconciliation. Separately, limited server-side error reports may be sent to PostHog for fault detection without using optional analytics cookies or browser storage. They may contain technical error details and, where a Stripe payment fails, the relevant Stripe checkout reference needed to investigate the fault, but not the customer’s name, email address, child information, form contents or payment-method details. These reports are not used for visitor analytics or advertising.
7. Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is used alongside PostHog after Analytics consent so we can compare aggregate website and campaign reporting and support future marketing analysis. The Kindi measurement ID is G-L4FRE1SFK2. The implementation uses first-party GA4 cookies for up to 13 months.
GA4 receives consented page, traffic-source, device and core conversion-event information. A purchase event may include the offer, amount and currency and, if technically necessary to avoid duplicate counting, a random analytics-only transaction reference. It must not receive names, email addresses, child information, form values, marketing choices, Kindi customer-facing order references, payment details or Stripe identifiers. Kindi does not use GA4 User-ID for this launch. Google may process analytics information outside the United Kingdom; further information about providers and international transfers is in our Privacy Policy.
8. Vercel analytics and performance
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights provide aggregate traffic and page-performance information and may operate by default. They are cookieless and are not intended to store information on, or access information from, a visitor’s browser to recognise that visitor. Vercel Web Analytics uses an anonymised request-derived visitor hash for short-term visitor counting and discards it after 24 hours. Speed Insights reports anonymous technical performance measurements and does not create a persistent Kindi visitor profile.
Google Search Console may also be used to understand how Kindi appears in Google Search. Search Console does not place a cookie on your browser merely because you visit Kindi, so it is not controlled through the cookie banner.
9. Stripe Checkout
If you choose the Founding Family offer, you are transferred to a checkout page hosted by Stripe. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to process the payment, protect checkout, authenticate activity and prevent fraud. Stripe controls the technologies used on its hosted pages and may change them.
For more information, see Stripe’s Cookie Policy and Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
10. Email delivery and tracking
Resend is used to send requested checklists, waitlist confirmations and purchase or service messages. Kindi is not sending marketing emails at launch. If marketing begins later, it will be sent only to people who have separately opted in and each marketing email will include an unsubscribe link. Resend open-and-click tracking is disabled at launch, so Kindi does not use an invisible email pixel to record opens or redirect links to record clicks.
Resend may still process operational delivery information such as whether an email was sent, delivered, delayed, bounced, complained about or unsubscribed from. This is email-service information rather than a website cookie choice. Essential emails relating to a requested resource, purchase or membership may still be sent even where marketing consent has not been given.
12. Other websites and third-party content
Our pages and emails may link to services operated by other organisations. Those organisations control their own cookies and similar technologies. Their privacy and cookie information applies when you visit their services.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, analytics, checkout, email practices or legal obligations change. We will publish the replacement with a new version number, effective date and policy identifier. When this policy is amended after launch, this v1.0 policy will remain available as the previous version.
